TERMS & CONDITIONS
BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS
I have a minimum order value of £100.
All payments are required to be transferred by BACS - I do not accept cash or cheques.
You booking is only secured once the 30% deposit has been received.
The remaining balance is due by BACS at least 24 hours ahead of collection or delivery.
CANCELLATIONS
Your booking is secured once your 30% deposit has been received. This deposit is non-refundable and is used to cover materials ordered in advance such as cake boards, boxes, dyes and additional materials required to create your cake. In certain circumstances, for example where a wedding cake is booked well in advance, it is at Colours & Crumbs discretion if the deposit can be refunded in part or full.
Should you wish to cancel or change your booking after your deposit has been paid, you will not be entitled to a refund of your deposit. If you are cancelling more than 7 days ahead of collection, the remainder of your balance can be waived.
If you choose to cancel within 7 days of your cake collection, you may be required to pay the remaining balance in part or full, depending on if certain elements (for example, sugar flowers or 3D elements) have already been created.
COLLECTION & DELIVERIES
If you are collecting your cake, I will require you to confirm a 1 hour collection window. If you can no longer attend that time slot, please let me know as soon as possible and I will aim to rearrange your slot as soon as possible.
If your order is due to be delivered to a venue, I will require confirmation of who will be present to receive the delivery, and the contact details of this person.
Once delivered, your order will be photographed and signed for, at which point the venue is responsible for correct storage and whereabouts of your cake/s.
I have full public liability insurance if the venue requires this.
ALLERGENS
On ordering you will be asked if we need to cater to any dietary requirements. I do provide a limited range of gluten free & vegan flavours, and all icing can be made free from dairy. Please enquire for more information.
All allergens and wider ingredient information and will be detailed and provided with your order on collection/delivery.
It is your responsibility to make this information available at your celebration should any guest require knowledge of what your cake/s contain.
Please be aware that all commissions are prepared in an environment that contains nuts and other allergens.
NON-EDIBLE ITEMS
Where required, your cake may contain non-edible items for structure or design support, for example, dowels, polystyrene, cocktail sticks. You will be made aware of non-edible items on collection/delivery.
DAMAGE AFTER COLLECTION/DELIVERY
Colours & Crumbs are not responsible for any damage caused to your order after your cake has been collected or delivered. I can provide instructions on transportation, storage and shelf life for best results.
If something does happen to your cake, please contact me as soon as possible. If I can fit in time to repair your cake, I will do so for a small fee.
ISSUES/REFUNDS
If you feel there is an issue with your cake, I will ask for you to return it to me so I can assess the issue. Failure to return the cake will mean I can’t resolve the issue for you. A full or partial refund may be offered at Colours & Crumbs discretion, depending on the issue.
